Training
We consider staff development a priority. One of our strategies for finding the kind of people that we want to work here is to hire for attitude and train for skill. We want people who share our values and our work ethic because we consider ourselves both a community and a business. Providing training in equipment handling, produce knowledge and quality control, safety, business, organic standards, and computer skills is only the start.
As in every organization, our training programs are evolving to meet the demands of the emerging labor force, and ensure retention. We are establishing a department to implement company wide training and staff development. Some of the modules in the program include:
