
Originally developed in Florida as a seedless grapefruit 150 years ago, the Marsh variety is the first organic grapefruit to ship in California. The first flush, grown by Bill and John Jessup of B&J Ranch out of Thermal, California, are amazingly sweet and juicy for the opening pick; Bill attributes their flavor to a compost tea he puts into the irrigation water.
