VV hires drivers for attitude and trains them for skill. Known to be reliable, friendly, and professional, as well as on time, our drivers contribute an essential element to our distribution service. Our Fleet Mirrors Our Values
Our trucks reflect VV’s values because we utilize environmentally-friendly technologies, whenever possible. We continually research non-petroleum based fuel options such as hydrogen fuel cells, compressed natural gas, liquid natural gas and biodiesel for our fleet. We also remain committed to green technologies and energy efficiency which is why we work hard to ensure our trucks never drive empty.
VV’s commitment to energy efficiency led us to the purchase of hybrid tractors and trailers. These hybrids increase VV’s fuel economy by 35% compared to our regular semis. The hybrid tractors and refrigeration units produce zero emissions, and run by a mixture of diesel fuel and electric power.
Routes
We currently have 24 distinct truck routes that take our fleet all over California, to parts of New Mexico, Southern Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. We also ship to New York and Hawaii. Our trucks are on the road seven days a week.
Trucking Services For Produce Customers
We offer next day delivery service to retail stores, restaurants, schools and other distributors throughout California. Our out-of-state customers commonly receive their order within two to three days. Please call our Sales Department at (415) 641-3500 to find out when we deliver in your area.
Trucking Services For Freight Customers
In addition to hauling our own products, VV is a general commodities carrier with common and contract authority. We are strictly a “Less than Load” carrier when hauling for-hire.
